PROF RALPH MILLS-TETTEY, CO - FOUNDER , FGIA
Ralph Mills-Tettey is a registered architect with over 30 years post-professional experience and currently the Registrar of the Architects Registration Council of Ghana, Vice Chair and Co-founder of Ghana Green Building Council.
In the past 10 years, he has served as the Chief Executive of the Architects Registration Council of Ghana a national regulatory professional body, which seeks to promote and control the practice of architecture in the built environment with an objective of achieving sustainable projects and shelter development at district, municipal, metropolitan and national levels while also protecting the populace and national needs by ensuring high quality professional education, practice and conduct.
He has been a very active founding member, using all platforms available both internationally and locally to speak about GHGBC, like the recently held African Union of Architects (AUA) conference held in Abuja, Nigeria and general and annual meetings of architects.
He is the author of several academic research publications with the recent being Mills-Tettey R (2008); "Urban Housing and Sanitation: Our Habitat, Our Health", Inaugural Lectures Series of the Ghana Academy of Arts and Sciences (in press).
He is a Fellow, Ghana Institute of Architects (FGIA) Elected Nov. 2002 and Ghana Academy of Arts and Sciences (FGA) Elected June 2005 and current Asst. Honorary Secretary (Sciences). He is also a Member of World Society of Ekistics, Athens, Greece (The Science of Human Settlements).
